Explain the business that exists today

A potential capital conversation should begin with the operating business, not only the ambition. Explain the live offer, who uses it and what demonstrates demand. Be clear about what you know, which figures need context and which assumptions still need examination.

I want the next move to connect to that starting point. If the product is still an early idea, the more useful conversation may be about building and reviewing a first version. Product collaboration and a capital partnership are different decisions, even when both involve hands-on work.

Give capital a specific job

Describe the opportunity in operating terms. What work would the resources support? Which constraint would be addressed, and who would own the execution? A broad ambition to grow does not explain how a proposed partnership would fit the business or what needs to be reviewed first.

Bring the commercial context with the plan: current responsibilities, costs, constraints and unresolved decisions. This is a way to prepare a more useful discussion, not a formula for securing funding. The right questions depend on the specific business and the people involved.

Keep fit and commitment separate

My Capital page describes selected potential business partnerships considered case by case. Any partnership would require due diligence and a separate written agreement. A first conversation or a local enquiry preview does not establish acceptance, an investment structure or a funding commitment.

This article is general business context, not an offer of securities or investment advice. There is no promise of funding, returns or results. If capital is the specific next conversation, prepare the business context; if the immediate need is product or operational work, start with Build.
